Deal into empty columns
Keep these points in mind. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves.
Ten columns and a stock

A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later.
Keep space available
Keep these points in mind. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card.

A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs.
